Tax Incentives: The incentives under the Promotion of Investments Act 1986 (“PIA 1986”) are Pioneer Status – Tax exemption of 70% of the statutory income for a period of five years under the PIA 1986 and Investment Tax Allowance – ITA of 60% on the qualifying capital expenditure incurred within a period of five years. Digital free trade zone are also launched in Malaysia by the government to support efficient cross border trade with e-commerce as the priority sector.
